Kia EV6 Launched in India and Available for Booking
The all-new Kia EV6 electric was launched in India and revealed on 2nd June 2022. Kia dealerships started accepting pre-bookings before the launch from 26th May 2022 onwards.

This stunning Kia EV6 is now available for pre-booking with a token of INR 3 lakh. This electric crossover imported as a CBU – Completely Built-Up Unit from its original manufacturing country. Initially, only 100 units are imported to India. It will be an expensive offering from Kia India. This all-new Kia EV6 is built on EV architecture and makes the most technologically advanced electric car.

The driving range is of around 500+ km as per the WLTP – Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure standards.

The battery pack of Kia EV6 is 77.4KWh, which makes them claim the range of 500+ km with the rear-wheel-drive variant. This variant provides the maximum power output of 229bhp and peak torque of 350Nm.

There is also an all-wheel-drive/ 4WD variant with a dual motor setup with a maximum power output of 325bhp and peak torque of 605Nm, which gives 425 km/charge. It takes only 5.2s to reach 0-100kmph.

Battery

EV6 uses a 350 kWh charger and charges the battery from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in 18 minutes.

Size

Kia EV6 is 4695mm long, 1890mm wide and 1550mm tall. A long wheelbase of 2900mm, makes this car look more like a hatchback than a crossover, but the design and size make it a mid-size luxury SUV.

There are multiple electric carmakers in India, such as Tata Motors, Hyundai, and Morris Garages, While premium brands such as Audi, BWM, Mercedes-Benz, Porche, Jaguar, and Volvo. Now, Kia entre into this electric segment and started the pre-booking. As it reaches Indian shores through CBU, it will carry a hefty price tag of around Rs 60 lakh.

It comes with a 12.3-inch curved touchscreen system, 14 meridian sound systems, sunroof, wireless phone charger and wifi hotspot, Heated and Ventilated Front Seats, Dual Panoramic Displays with Navigation, regenerative braking system with six levels, cruise control and much more.
